Metar Sidebar Gadget updated to 1.2!!!

Updated the METAR sidebar gadget tonight - I've been meaning to do it for ages.

Main difference is that it no longer has to FTP the file from the NOAA and parse it - it now gets the information directly from slopey.com itself thanks to a new installation of phpWeather.

Changed the background pic and a few other minor changes - it should run much faster and leaner now - I've been running it for hours with no issues.

Any comments/queries/suggestions - post in the forums please!

Cheers,
S.

Metar/Taf Vista Sidebar Gadget Uploaded

I've uploaded version 1.0 of my metar/taf Vista Sidebar gadget. It's my first Gadget and my first real play with Javascript - so be gentle! Works on ICAO code for a station which the NOAA knows about - i.e. EGPD, EGLL etc - most of the larger UK airfields are in along with US and some International weather stations.

You can get it from the Downloads section under Vista Gadgets. Make sure you save it somewhere first - if it has a .zip extension, rename it to .gadget and then double click to install on the Sidebar.

Click on the Gadget to pop out a fuller forecast, and you can get it to cycle METARs & TAFs from the settings menu. If you want to flip it between TAF & METAR manually, open and close the settings menu.

Any coments/feedback? See the Forums!

Cheers,
TimeMachine for CargoPilot uploaded

Just added a little utility in the downloads section which removes the accelerated time penalty from Cargo Pilot flights. If like me you're short of time in RL, you can fly to TOC, let the gps handle the rest on x16, then pick it back up at TOD. Once the flight is finished, run the util and it'll remove the penalty. Not really cheating, but use at your own discretion.

For those of you downloading the WebTracker!!

Hey y'all,

For those folks grabbing the WebTracker - make sure you also snag the update which has some extra fixes and is set up for the single server rather than the EU/US of old.

Seems to me its about time I did some upgrading on it, so let me know if there's a) something missing, b) something broke or c) something you want which I could add to it.

逗留飞行

S.

Dragonward for PSP underway

Here's a little update on where I'm at with the port of Dragonward over onto the PSP. Never got round to getting this finished on UIQ, so going to have a go at the PSP. I was going to can it, but now that homebrew is running on the v2.0 firmware (kinda), it's worth a pop.

It's a dungeon crawler RPG in a similar vein to the Bard's Tale, but with dynamic missions, and an open structure

More later...

Monopoly Clone for the PSP

As if I'm not busy enough anyway, I'm playing with a monopoly clone for the PSP. It's currently written in Lua but I'm porting it into C at present (now that I've got the damn dev environment to work on the PC).

WebTracker 1.65 Update now ready to go

All sorted - sorry for the delay!

Changes now include:

- Fixed problems with the Pilot & Squad stat gathering code now it's a single server.
- Modx6 in the Finder is now Missiles (to help find DropTanks)
- Changing US/EU server does nothing and now no longer results in a crash (I'll remove the menu item shortly)

Cheers,

WebTracker Update Temporarily Down

Forgot to package the correct OCX control with the update which is why you're probably seeing a "Protoview" licence message. Protoview were bought out by Infragistics and I use their data explorer component for the Squad Manager - I need to reinstall it to correct the licencing screw up, so bear with me until I get it sorted and re-uploaded :)

The next uploaded version will be 1.65.4 which fixes a problem with the Squad/Pilot data and also changes Modx slot 6 in the Finder to a Missile slot to help with finding DropTanks. And I've also removed the rest of the EU based code (I think).

Stay tuned!

Tracker Update 1.65.3 Released

I've uploaded the 1.65.3 and it's availiable in the downloads section under the WebTracker Updates category. The full installer hasn't been updated yet so if need be, download the 1.64 installer then extract the 1.65 update into the installation directory. Most users just need to extract the 1.65 jgwt.exe file into their install directory.

This is the first file in a rolling update program which will result in a completely up to date WebTracker.

Changes in 1.65:
Added DropTanks, Jammer, FuelScoop, DeepRadar, ML Amplifier etc
Removed EU Server references (there's probably a few still about but just ignore them - EU is still on the Pilot/Squad Stats, but I'm removing that even now)
A few minor bug fixes, and an issue resolved with the BPC for Any <> Any station run calculations.

Any problems, bugs, suggestions - as always - post in the forums here - I don't read the ND forums at present.

Cheers,
S.
